Anita DeAngiis, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, NM died on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at
8:08pm. Anita passed away peacefully with her son by her side. Anita was preceded in death by
her husband Guillermo DeAnglis, and is survived by her two children, Dorian Crosley and
Anastazia DeAngeles, as well as two grandchildren, two brothers Tim and StanTurner both from
North Carolina.
Anita was born in 1953 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Paul and Charlcie Turner.
She studied Psychology and Law at Durham Tech in North Carolina and went on to study
Business at American University as well as Real Estate at Alamance Technical College after
moving to New Mexico in the 1980’s. Anita was a strong determined woman and became a
meticulous book keeper for her husband Guillermo’s watch making business. She had an eye
for detail and a knack for math. She enjoyed being a substitute teacher in Albuquerque where
her students loved her and knew her as Ms. A. She lived well and laughed hard and brought
smiles to many faces with stories of her life experiences. She will be missed by many. There will
be a Celebration of Life forthcoming for family and friends.
