Ann Marie Altum

ALTUM- Ann Marie Altum, 15, a lifelong resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on April 19, 2010. Ann Marie was born on May 27, 1994 to William and Bernardtta “Peek” Altum. She was always happy and sensitive to others’ needs. She had a God-given talent of connecting with and loving others, especially children. Ann Marie was currently attending Los Lunas High and was a member of the Gear Up program, the Anti-Smoking Campaign, and worked with the Valencia County Y.D.I. Ann Marie loved horses, horse back riding, driving cars, photography, drawing, writing poems, scary movies, was an expert text messenger, and had a very sweet tooth. She also loved her MP3 players so she could always listen to her music. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, her favorite color was blue and she always wore her Air Jordan shoes. She, also, loved roses and Christmas Holly. Ann Marie is survived by her parents, Bill and Peek Altum; her sister, Teresa Garcia and husband, Marco “Markin” Demsey; her brother, Jesus Garcia; little brother, Carlitos; Grandmother Mary Hutchenson; Uncle Kenny Bezy; Aunty Karen Bitner; Aunty Valerie Vasquez; and cousins, Michelle Vasquez and husband, John Talbot, Serenity Vasquez-Talbot, Sierra Vasquez-Talbot, Baby Jacob Vasquez-Talbot, Jeremiah “Froggy” Vasquez-Talbot, Jennifer Mckeehan and her husband Keith Mckeehan, Megan Mckeehan, Michael Mckeehan and Victoria Bitner"Boo" and many cousins who love her and miss her very much, and Best friends Mari Gardea, Vanitee Beyer, Diamond Montoya, Vanessa Quezeda, Celine Franco and Johni Overbey, and many other friends that will greatly miss her. A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Final Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 29, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 PM, also, in the Palm Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. Following the funeral service, Ann Marie will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque, NM. Donations are being accepted to help Ann Marie’s family during this difficult time.
