Anne Miller Carris, affectionately known as "Annie" to her loved ones, peacefully passed away on June 24, 2024, in Corrales, New Mexico. She was born on July 8, 1947, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, to her parents Henry Miller Carris and Helen Huntington Carris.
Annie led a remarkable life as an entrepreneur, founding several successful businesses throughout her career. Her spirit and dedication inspired many in the business world. Apart from her professional achievements, she also valued education. Annie completed her high school education at Rutland High School in Rutland, VT. She further pursued higher education at Sullens College in Bristol, VA, where she graduated in 1965. Additionally, she obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in Florida.
Outside of her work and studies, Annie had a passion for horses. She found solace and joy in spending time with these majestic animals.
Anne is survived by her son Henry Carris Mahoney; brother and sister-in-law William and Barbara Carris; sister Katrina Carris. She was predeceased by her son Phillip Case Mahoney.
Anne Miller Carris touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and entrepreneurial drive. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, Anne — your spirit will live on in the hearts of all whose lives you have touched.
