Annie D. Simpson

Annie D. Simpson, 81, of Nenahnezad, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Shiprock. She was born July 4, 1927, in Ramsprings, to David and Anna Dixon. Annie married Bob Simpson, in 1956, in Albuquerque, and moved to Fruitland the same year. For 61 years, she was a homemaker. Annie was a member of the LDS Church. She was family oriented and a great mom. She loved the outdoors, farming, casino, and watching her children's sporting events. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Bob Simpson; daughter, Mary Louise Yazzie; brother, Jimmy Lowe; and by sisters, Minnie Joe, Bessie Jones, May Pettigrew, and Rose Tsosie. She is survived by seven daughters, Alice Sells, Lorena Willie, Doreen Joe, Gladys Simpson, Benita Bitsui, Libbie Simpson, and Gloria Bahe; three sons, Bennett Simpson, Robert Simpson, and Leroy Simpson; three sisters, Alice Gilmore, Bessie Yazzie, and Miryian D.
