Anthony F. Lopez

Age 78, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed on July 29, 2021 peacefully in his sleep from natural causes.

Anthony is survived by his son, James Lopez (Jimmy); his daughter, Donna Barnhill spouse Derek Barnhill; and son Carlos Lopez; first granddaughter, Lisa Fields spouse Aaron Fields; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Arthur Lopez spouse Carol Lopez, Gilo Lopez, Ginger Luna, Lorretta Chavez spouse Robert Chavez, Gilbert Lopez spouse Helen Lopez, and numerous other family members.

Anthony (Tony) was born to his parents Arthur and Mary Lopez, on June 20, 1943 in Trinidad, CO. Tony graduated from Trinidad High School in the top 1% of his class for academics. After graduation Tony moved to Albuquerque, NM and joined the Army National Guard proudly serving his country. Tony was a very intelligent man which made him successful in business. He was a proud owner of Nakai Trading Company, and Royal Plating. He had a strong work ethic and it showed in the products he made. Tony had a good heart and was known for his ability to sense when people needed his help. He would give the shirt off his back, never wanting to take credit for his generosity.

Tony loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for having everyone over for food, football, and pool. He had a passion for traveling, solving puzzles, listening to good music, and attending sporting events. He was a lifelong Dodgers and Redskins fan. He touched so many lives with his generosity and passion for life.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday August 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Burial to follow at Mt Calvary 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Pallbearers will be: James Lopez, Carlos Lopez, Patrick Duran Jr, Nathan Duran, Gilbert Lopez, and Aaron Fields. Honorary Pallbearer: Robert Dominguez.
