Anthony L. Montoya died unexpectedly on February 17, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 61.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Monika; his daughters, Jennifer and Melissa; and his grandsons, Noah, Brody, and Jaxon. He is also survived by his sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie; his parents, Marjorie and Frank; and his sister, Barbara.
Anthony was born on February 27, 1955 in Taos, NM to Marjorie and Frank Montoya. After graduating high school in Wagon Mound, NM, Anthony joined the US. Army where he received many honors and awards until he retired in 1993. He returned to New Mexico, where he decided to spend his remaining years.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 at 10:30 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services at 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Anthony’s life. Please feel free to bring photos and share some memories. Following the service, Anthony will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
