Anthony Tony"" Alfonso Romero

ROMERO-"Tony" Anthony Alfonso Romero, 65, passed away on Thursday; March 26, 2009, after a short illness. He was born June 13, 1943 to Alfonso and Miquela Romero in T or C, NM. He was predeceased by his father Alfonso Romero. Mr. Romero is survived by his mother, Miquela Romero, his son, Steven Romero, sister, Carol Romero, girlfriend Renee Gavino, his former wife, Jane Romero and two grandsons Stefan and Elliott Romero. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nephews; Russell Romero and Gregory Romero, cousins, and a multitude of friends. He was a well known musician who played with several groups through out his life. His friends can attest to the fact that he was a fabulous singer, as well as bass, trombone player and friend. He was a part of several groups, among those being, The Velvets, The Surprise Package, The Cayman, The Organization as well as other groups. He always had a funny story or joke for anyone he met. He lived life to the fullest and was loved by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Russell Romero, Gregory Romero, Richard Martinez, Bob Carley, Martin Gallegos and Jose Martinez.
