Antoinette Rose Serrano

Antoinette Rose Serrano (MacErnie), age 95, dedicated mother, passed away January 4, 2025. Antoinette was known for her loving heart and being a woman of great faith, wisdom and patience. Her family was her life. When visiting her home she would say, “May the angels of the lord go with you” to send you off on your journey home.

 She is survived by her children, Henry MacErnie and daughter-in-law Catherine, Floyd MacErnie and daughter-in-law MaryAnn, Susu Lopez and son-in-law Charlie, Lawrence MacErnie and daughter-in-law Carmen, Judy Santa Ana, Manuel MacErnie and daughter-in-law Ireane, Donna Ryder MacErnie and son-in-law Gary, Sadie Shannon and Martin MacErnie, her grandchildren, Daniel MacErnie, Estrella MacErnie, Jonathan MacErnie, Neil MacErnie, Eric MacErnie, David Bustos, Amanda MacErnie, Christopher Ayala, JonCarlos Martinez, Joe Lira, Shänti Lira, Joe MacErnie, Angelica Santa Ana, Joey Santa Ana, Ashley Santa Ana, Rachael Gurule, Christina Lujan, Solomon Lujan, Andrew MacErnie, Shawn MacErnie, Dominique MacErnie, Dalila MacErnie, and Destiny MacErnie and her 26 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mannie Lynch. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. Also touching Antoinette’s life is her dear friend Olivia Garcia. Antoinette was preceded in death by her husbands, Bustos MacErnie, Ismael Cuevas and Phil Serrano, her children, Daniel MacErnie, Donald MacErnie and Mary Bustos, and her grandchild, Christopher Sanchez. She was also preceded in death by parents, Jose Cortez War and Concepcion War; brothers, Margarito War and Lario War; sisters, Isabel Padilla, Josie Quintana, Lucy Salazar, Beatrice Salazar, and Nora Halford and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming. A celebration of life will be held Friday, January 17th at 11:30 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services on Wyoming. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Albuquerque.
