Antonia De Lourdes Martinez

Antonia “Toni” De Lourdes Martinez, 89, went to be with the Dear Lord on April 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Toni was born in Las Vegas, NM on June 26, 1928 to Reyes and Antonia Segura. Toni is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years Edward; her daughters, Kathy Boyd (Lester), and Theresa Tafoya; grandchildren Lynn Boyd, Barbara Lucero (Ben), and Edward Tafoya; great-granddaughter Kylie Engleman; and many close nieces, nephews, and friends. Toni was preceded in death by her sister Perscilla Monroe and great-granddaughter Ashley Nicole. Toni was a gifted musician who knew how to play piano, guitar, and organ and she also loved to sing. While growing up Toni and her sister Perscilla were well known as the Segura Sisters who played and sang at many social events. Toni was the last of the Segura Sisters formerly of Las Vegas, NM. The family would like to express a special thanks to Kindred Hospice, especially Jenell and Lucy.

Toni was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church for 53 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Daniels Family Funeral Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5300 Claremont Ave. N.E. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery immediately following the mass.
