Antonio Martinez

Martinez, Antonio (Tony) Age 85, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011. He was born on April 1, 1926 to Luis Romero Martinez and Sinforosa Trujillo, in Albuquerque, NM. Tony served in the military during WWII and saw action is the Pacific, including Iwo Jima. Tony loved cooking, dancing, roller skating, watching Novellas on TV, and making models and tools from wood with an eye for perfection. He was a dapper dresser. Antonio is survived by his sister, Emma Chavez; his long term soul mate, Mary G. Griffin; daughters, Ida and Patty; son, Jerry; granddaughter, Brianna; nephews, Louis, Robert, Leonard, Stanley, Herb and Jason; as well as many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sadie; brother, Rick; and son, Leroy.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, 7:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Carlisle Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, with a reception to follow. Tony will be placed at Santa Fe National Cemetery in a columbaria at a later date. Antonio's care has been entrusted to:
