Antonio "Nate" N. Pargas

Pargas, Antonio Natividad "Nate" Age 82, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in San Antonio, NM on June 13, 1931, to Benito and Emilia Maldonado Pargas. Antonio served his country proudly in the US Army and retired in 1972. He served during the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. He was a devoted family man and a kind hearted person. He enjoyed hunting and he loved to garden. Antonio will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hermenio Pargas, Ralph Pargas, Luis Pargas, Emilio Pargas, and Jose Pargas; sisters, Marianna Pargas and Amalia Gonzales. Antonio is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Margarita "Maggie" Madril Pargas; daughters, Natalie Pargas and Tammy Lucero; son, Dick (Josie) Pargas; brothers, Horacio Pargas, Ernest Pargas, and Benny Pargas; grandchildren, Antonio Nate Pargas, Mikaela Pargas, Terri Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, and Angela Duran, great-grandchildren, Leondra Pargas-Deleon, Karma Trujillo, Brenna Baca, Sheraton Aragon, Jasenya Chavez, Kyra Pargas, Carlos Duran-Rael . Rosary to be recited on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 9:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service with full military honors.
