Antonio “Pilar” Urioste, 62, resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 20 years, went to be with Our Lord, on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. He was born to Eloy and Felipita Urioste in Las Vegas, New Mexico and raised in Algodones, New Mexico from the age of 6.
Pilar is survived by his wife, Angie of 41 years, his sons; Daniel and wife, Jennifer, Leon and fiancée Donna and Samy and wife, Jalisa; 6 grandchildren; Daniel, Austin, Samuel, David, Noel and Jeremiah. His brothers, Eugene, Juan and Tommy; sisters, Prescilla and Alicia; a special niece and nephew, Beatrice and Rick, his closest friends, Andrew and Andrea; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pilar is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger and Antonio, a cousin who he considered a brother.
Pilar was a devoted father and grandfather. He was so proud of his sons and loved sitting and talking with them, holding those conversations close to his heart. He was fun, loud and proud. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Going to the park was his favorite time with them. He was proud of his sobriety and held his support group with the highest regard.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A rosary will take place on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 7:00pm at Church of Incarnation. A mass is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:00am at the Church of Incarnation.
