Antonio P. Udero

May 23, 1954 — January 7, 2014

Antonio (Tony) Udero Jr.from Albuquerque, NM passed away on January 7th, 2014. Tony was born May 23, 1954 in Silver City, NM and moved to Capistrano Beach, California in 1973. He met Norma Mercado there on the beach and they became man and wife in 1976. Norma and Tony moved to Albuquerque in 1980. Tony is survived by his wife, Norma; his children, Eric Mercado, Jaime Chavez, and Tahnee Udero; along with his grandchildren Matthew Mercado, Nathanial Chavez, Emily Chavez, and Ayden Galaviz. Tony is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Udero and his granddaughter Adrianna Chavez. He is also survived by his father, Antonio Udero; and siblings, Paul Udero, and Sandra Fisher. Tony had a long career with Kirtland Air Force Base as a subcontractor. He was a loyal employee and loyal friend. Tonys most endearing trademark is his continuous sense of humor and love for making people laugh. His shenanigans ranged from simple one liners to sarcastic remarks, barbs, jabs, and digs. Tony invented the concept of the photo bomb before it was the fun thing to do. Tony loved his wife Norma and his kids and was a devoted grandfather. His passion was fly fishing and camping and the Lord has taken him now in his beloved net. We love you Tony and you will be missed but never forgotten.
