Aristeo J. Gonzales

Better known as “Speedy” 95 years young, He drove an 18-wheeler & operated heavy equipment, however, his passion was horses. He owned and trained racehorses throughout his life, which earned him his moniker. He is preceded in death by the only woman he married, Tomasita Gonzales, son Gilbert Gonzales, son-in-law Joe Ray Chavez, parents Concepcion & Melecio. Brothers Margarito, Avelino, sisters Elosia, Mary, & Juanita. He is survived by Frances Howard (J.D.), Lupe Rico Thorn, Larry Gonzales (JoAnn), Gloria Friday (Larry), Kathy Gonzales, Theresa Thevenet (Howard), Aristeo Gonzales Jr. (Lesa), Art Gonzales. 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, & 4 great-great-grandchildren. Many nephews & nieces & many friends. Forever in our hearts.  Special thanks to his grandson Ray Rico for all the years of being his caretaker. Pallbearer Gilbert M. Gonzales Jr. Cremation has taken place, and the services will be at Daniels Funeral home Socorro N.M. On 11/13/21 at 9:00 am, followed by inurnment at San Miguel Cemetery.
