Arlene Begay

Funeral services for Arlene Begay, 47, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, at The Potter’s House, Chinle. The Rev. Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Chinle. Begay died Dec. 27, 2010, in Flagstaff. She was born Feb. 21, 1963, in Ganado, into the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan. Begay was a homemaker. She loved her kids, doing word search and crossword puzzles and listening to gospel music. Survivors include her sons, Bradford Begay, Orlando Yazzie, Relando Yazzie; mother, Louise Begay; brothers, Ronald Begay Sr., Charles Begay; sisters, Elouise Begay, Laura Charley; two grandchildren. Begay was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Yazzie; father, Totsoni Y. Begay; brothers, Jimmy and Robert Begay; sister, Adele Francis. Pallbearers will be family members.
