Armando Vivian Herrera

Herrera, Armando V. Age 63, beloved and devoted husband, godfather, brother and friend, was embraced by the Lord and taken to his heavenly home Thursday, June 28, 2012. Armando was born on March 9, 1949 in La Jara, NM and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM. Armando is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lillie Herrera; a loving god-daughter, Shirley Perez and husband Walter; the love of his life whom he considered his grandchildren, Walter Jr., Marcos and Brittni Perez; sisters, Mary Beeson and Adelina Montoya; brother, Willie Herrera; Armando was especially close to his nephews, Jake Valdez, Patrick Herrera and Eddie Aragon; many special nieces, nephews, too numerous to name; many other relatives and friends. Also surviving are Armando''s four pawed companions, Baby Sir, Bella and Maddi. Armando will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Leon and Dolorita (Montoya) Herrera; brothers, Roque, Joe, Lucario and Remy Herrera; sisters, Edna Valdez, Trini Madrid, Annabele Herrera, Armanda Aragon and Sylvianita Valdez. A Rosary will be recited Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, in Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santo Nino Cemetery in La Jara, NM.
