Arthur Dwayne Garlington

Garlington, Arthur Dwayne Passed from this life into the arms of his Heavenly Father on November 2, 2013. Dwayne was born on April 15, 1960 to Jerry Wayne Garlington and Jeanette Cunningham Garlington in Muleshoe, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Jeanette Garlington. He is survived by his grandmother, Ethel Garlington Murray of Mule Shoe, TX, his wife, Linda Garlington of Rio Rancho, NM, his son, Jeremy Garlington and wife Stormy of Durango CO, and Ben Garlington of St. Paul MN; one brother, Doug Garlington and wife Angela of Midland TX, father-in-law, John Lunkley; brother and sister-in-law, Shawn and Lisa Prox and Melissa Whitaker; three nieces, Ashley and Hayley Prox, and Katherine Garlington; one nephew, Nathanael Garlington. The light of Dwayne's life were his grandchildren and great nieces, Kanaan and River, Brielle and Eliza, Genevieve and Guinevere. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield NM in 1978. Dwayne married Linda Ann Lunkley on September 27, 1980. They had two sons; Michael Jeremy and Benjamin Alan. Dwayne worked for Public Service Company of New Mexico for 32 years. Dwayne and Linda were active members of Calvary of Albuquerque, and were involved in many aspects of ministry. Dwayne enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and general tinkering. He always had a project. He loved his family and was devoted to being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Dwayne was also devoted to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Reception will immediately follow the services at the Church. Interment will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
