Hiatt, Arthur Arlington Age 97, of Albuquerque, passed away and went to be with his Lord and savior January 22, 2013. He was born in Portland, Indiana on March 15, 1915. Art was a sheet-metal worker and a Charter Member of Local Union 49. He received his 70-year pin from Local Union 49 in 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters, two sons, one grandson, and one great grandson. He is survived by his wife, Helen Beth (Riley) Hiatt of 59 years, and son, Tracy of the family home, daughter in law, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends. Art enjoyed being retired and was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, and motorcycle enthusiast. A memorial service will be held at the family home February 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers Art would have appreciated donations be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, as he was a firm believer that every child was a blessed gift, deserved the very best, and that no child should ever have to struggle.
