Ascension Padilla

On July 10, 2020 Maria Ascension Padilla entered into eternal rest after receiving last rites.  Ascension died peacefully in her home in Socorro, New Mexico.  With her were her son Donald and daughter Linda, also with the family was Father John Anasiudu.  Ascension was born in Lemitar, New Mexico on May 13, 1926 to Juan Maria Lopez and Florentina Gallegos.  She is preceded in death by her husband Perfecto Padilla, her parents Juan Maria and Florentina as well as all her siblings.  Ascension is survived by her four children:  Diana (Vincent) Del Curto, Donald Padilla, Jeanette (Ferdy) Martinez, and Linda (Claudio) Baca; three grandchildren:  Joan Del Curto, Lorenzo Del Curto, and Lauren Finci; four great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  Ascension will be interned at the Sagrada Familia Cemetery following the Mass of Resurrection at the La Sagrada Familia church in Lemitar on July 16 at 10:00 am.  Pallbearers are:  Casey Del Curto, Joan Del Curto, Rosa Del Curto, Zyra Del Curto, Chelsea Lyons, and Florence Marquez.  Ascension's care has been entrusted to:
