Averil (Burl) Jackson, 84, of Farmington, joined our Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family at his side. Burl was born November 2, 1925, in Sedan, Kansas, to Richard and Rhoda Ellen Stark Jackson. Burl grew up in Farmington. He served in the Navy during WWII. He owned Jackson Mfg. He worked as a boilermaker for several years until he joined the Pipe Fitters and Plumbers Local 412 from which he retired in 1984. He spent his retirement years fishing, farming and more fishing. Burl was preceded in death by his parents and his son John R. Jackson. Burl is survived by his wife Alice of 64 years, his daughters Ellen (Tim) Timmerman, Beryl Scott, Sally Jackson, son Robert Jackson, daughter-in-law Shirley Jackson, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and cousins.
