Barbara J. Baca

BACA - Barbara J. Baca, age 50, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, completed her journey on this earth and entered into Eternal Life with the Lord, Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born in Mesa, AZ and was a resident of Albuquerque. Barbara fought a long and courageous battle with diabetes, but always managed to keep her great sense of humor. She will be fondly remembered, as a loving, caring, strong and generous women, with a big heart. Barbara strongly believed in living her life to the fullest, and looked deep into her heart when giving advice to her children, always making sure they knew she loved them. Barbara will be missed by her loving family, as by those whose hearts she touched, and will never be forgotten. Her love and laughter will forever carry on. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Bell Huston; her father and mother-in-law, Santiago Baca and mama Rose; two brothers, Joey and Johnny Huston. Barbara is survived by her loving soul mate, Robert Q. Baca; her daughters, Nelda Loomis and Martin, Sr., Crystal Hernandez and husband Paul, Leanna Loomis and fiancé Sergio Meza; her sons, Robbie, Gary Baca, and Mark Baca and his wife Pam; her precious grandchildren, Martin, Jr., Katelyn, and Cynthia Sandoval, Annabell Hernandez, Robbie, Ashley, Gabby, Nathan, Santiago, Angel, Kalob, Isaiah, and Jasmine Baca. Also surviving are her siblings, Jim Huston and wife Debbie, Nelda Sams and husband Mike, John Huston and wife Robin, Tom Huston, Vince Baca and wife Elsie, Helen Baca; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends. Visitations will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services " Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Mike Sams, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Jim Huston, Tom Huston, John Huston, Vince Baca, Mark Baca, Paul Hernandez, Martin Sandoval, Sr., Martin Sandoval, Jr., and Sergio Meza.
