Barbara K. Carrara

Carrara, Barbara K. of Albuquerque, 66, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, September 20, 2012. As a dental hygienist she promoted dental health at a local dentist office until her illness forced her into premature retirement. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Pier Carrara of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Amy Carrara of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Noah Driscoll and Simon Driscoll of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Charles Garcia and wife, Shannon of Cary, NC, John Garcia and wife, Connie of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard Garcia and wife, Bridgett of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Christine Garcia of Hyattville, MD, Anne Garcia of Hagerstown, MD; brother-in-law, Bruno Carrara and wife, JoAnn of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Giovanna Angeli and husband, Angelo of Lucca, Italy; numerous nieces and nephews, both stateside and in Italy and countless friends and supporters. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Homer and Virginia Garcia and older brother David Garcia. Services will be held at Aquinas Newman Center on the UNM Campus where she was married, on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
