Barbara Courville Shepherd

SHEPHERD, Barbara Courville Shepherd, 76, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, April 11, 2011. Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Ryan on February 1, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James W. Shepherd, three sons; Duane, Gregory and Robert Shepherd. Granddaughters, Megan Angelov, Abigail Shepherd and grandson, Benjamin Shepherd. Nieces, Kellie Watts and her husband Ian and their daughters, Cassandra & Rhiannan, Patti Birge and her husband, Scotty and their daughter Lindsay. Nephew, Michael Ryan and his wife, Elexis and their son Jimmer. Barbara was an avid reader, quilter and loved to fish and camp with the family. She worked as a legal secretary in several law firms over the years and accumulated many life long friends. She was active in her church and served on the Missions Outreach Program until her health declined. Her friends and family will remember her for her generosity, grace and humor. The family wishes to thank her caregivers who have loved and cared for her over the years. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Anglican Church, 5300 2nd Street, NW (Second & Montano), Albuquerque NM 87107 on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.
