Beatrice Muniz

Beatrice Muniz, 101, of Blanco, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. She was born Oct. 21, 1909, to Sesario and Senaida Sandoval. She was a hard working woman. She made the most wonderful tasting bread and made beautiful afghans. She loved to garden and her strawberry patch. She was a person of strong Christian beliefs and loved her grandchildren Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ismael; sons, Xavior, Raynaldo and Emilio; daughter, Gloria; her parents; brothers, Juan, Luis and Jose; sister, Fedelina; and two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Abenilde (Gene) Archuleta, Estella (Gene) Gross and Anita (Jose) Martinez; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren. The celebrant is Father Robert Mathieu. Reception will follow at St. Rose Parish Hall. Pallbearers are Press Muniz, Gloria Florez, Gale Gross and Jo Ann Bixler.
