Ben Joe Padilla

Benjamin Joe Padilla, 71, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. Ben was born on December 3, 1946 in Del Norte, Colorado to Claudina Romero and John Padilla. 

Ben married his first wife Sandra and raised their son and daughter in West Covina, California. During this time he worked in various fields from sales to billing and collections. He married his second wife, Linda Schrimpf, on March 30, 1993. They lived in Monrovia, California with Linda's daughters, until 1995 when they relocated to Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Ben's most beloved pastime was playing billiards. He participated in many tournaments and won multiple awards and trophies. He also enjoyed watching movies and making his family and friends laugh with his unforgettable sense of humor. 

He is survived by his son Anthony Padilla and wife Kathy of Thousand Oaks, California and Elizabeth (Diz) Asato of Pico Rivera, California and his stepdaughters Suzanne Edwards and husband Scott of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Stephanie Trujillo and husband Matt of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Ben's grandchildren include Haley Marie Padilla, Jacob Anthony Padilla, Joseph Maestas Jr, Samantha Lauren Asato, Sarah Lynn Edwards, Alyssa Lynn Trujillo and Ethan Matthew Trujillo. He also has one great grandson, Mateo Maestas. 

Ben will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
