Ben Peshlakai

Services for Ben Benjamin Peshlakai, 91, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, in Crystal. Burial will be in family land, Crystal. Peshlakai died Nov. 30, 2010, in Fort Defiance. He was born in Crystal, into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Black Streak People Clan. Survivors include his wife, Lydia Betty Peshlakai; sons, Norbert, Calvin, Jasper; daughters, Lita, Hattie, Victoria, Cora, Freda; brother, James Kee Jr.; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Peshlakai was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Margaret; brothers, Harold, Harvey; sisters, Agnes Dodge, Angela Tsosie, Ida Porter. Peshlakai was preceded in death by his son, Clifford. Pallbearers will be family members. The family will meet at Crystal Chapter House, following services.
