Emmett, Benjamin David The soul of Benjamin David Emmett, journeyed into the spirit world on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Estelle Emmett. His son Andrew Emmett, from Winston-Salem, N.Carolina. His daughter Susanne Gallaghan and her husband Mike Gallaghan. Granddaughter Brandie Maes and Great grandson Quentin Maes. Granddaughter Jaimi Sanchez and her husband Miguel Sanchez and their children Allyson and Kevin Sanchez. Ben was born in Roswell New Mexico, to Churchill and Sylvia Emmett on August 20, 1925, where he grew up with 5 brothers and sisters. Bertha Hendricks, of Fort Worth TX, is his only surviving sister. Ben served in the Army, during WWII. He left the Army at 21, as a Corporeal. He attended Colleges first in Oakland CA and later in Mexico City, studying the Fine Arts. Ben lived in Paris France and Germany, where he met and married Estelle. He worked for Radio Free Europe. In 1966, Be moved his family back to the US and settled in Cedar Crest NM. The last 25 years of his life were spent retired and pursuing studies in diverse interests and spiritual endeavors.
