Benny E. "Pinky" Madril

Madril, Benny E "Pinky" 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Magdalena, NM on May 21, 1953 to Pablo and Clara (Ortega) Madril. Benny, or "Pinky" as he was affectionately known, was a lifelong resident of Magdalena. He was a heavy equipment operator and retired after 25 years of service with the Socorro County Road Department. In his younger years, Benny was very athletic and enjoyed playing softball and basketball. Benny enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and occasionally visiting the casinos. He loved listening to Spanish music and always had a song in his heart. Above all, Benny was devoted to his faith, his wife, his daughters, his siblings, and his Magdalena Steers. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents; and his niece, Andrea Torres. Benny is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Isabel (Gutierrez) Madril; his devoted daughters,Consuelo Madril; and Corine Madril and companion, Wally Sanchez and his son, Sam Sanchez; his brother, Paul Madril and wife, Rosa; his sisters, Ester Chavez and husband, Pat; Mela Candelaria and husband, Silverio; Irene Hernandez; Alice Saldivar; and Elsie Gutierrez and husband, Ramon; and many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and close friends. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Magdalena. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 am also at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the Magdalena Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe Hernandez, Anthony Chavez, Anthony Trujillo, Ruben Martinez, Neil Waldon, and Wally Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are Ramon Gutierrez, Ray Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Jimmy Sanchez, Ricardo Gutierrez, Ronald Torres Jr., Valentine Trujillo, and Jerry Torres.
