AVILA -- BERNADETTE JENKINS Was born on May 31, 1922 in Questa NM and returned to our Lord on May 31, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Bernadette is survived by best friend and companion Angie Gurule; Children, Richard and Dorothy Avila, Darlene and Rod Quinn, Keith Avila, Wayne Avila, Jennifer Avila and Robert Avila, Maxine Avila; grandchildren, Anthony and Michelle Avila, Christy and Lincoln Taylor, Anna Avila, Aaron and Krysta Avila, Pamela and Robert Romero, Randy and Laura Whittemore, Wendy and Patrick Barker, Wayne Avila Jr., Zachary Avila, Jacob Avila, Desirae Avila and Sterling Avila, Ryan McGinnis; great- grandchildren, Tarayn and Thomas Perry, Anthony Avila Jr, Ashley Taylor, Haley Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Shane Cairney, Kyler Avila, Audrey Shipley, Cameron Romero, Trevor Romero, Victoria Romero, Stephen Whittemore, Eric Whittemore, Alexis Barker and Lynsie Barker; sisters, Ruth and Louella; brother, Robert. Bernadette is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Pete Avila; mother, and father, Georgiana and Thomas Jenkins; sisters, Angela, Mary Evelyn; and brothers, George, Leo and Thomas. Services and rosary will be Thursday, June 2, 2011, 7:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming NE, 87109. Memorial Services will be Friday, June 3, 2011, 10:00am, Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming NE, 87109. A reception will follow after services at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming NE.
