Bernadette Valerie Caldwell, age 53, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born June 27, 1969, in Leadville, Colorado, to her parents Ernesto and Bettye Romero. She was a graduate of Lake County High School in Leadville, CO, class of 1987. She graduated as a Medical Assistant from Franklin Medical College in 1989. She was employed by Presbyterian Hospital for 10 years. She married Elvis Caldwell November 30, 1987, in Leadville, CO. Bernadette enjoyed cooking, camping, gardening, Harley Davidson motorcycles and the Denver Broncos. She loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Elvis Caldwell.
Bernadette is survived by her parents Ernesto and Bettye Romero; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Beth Caldwell of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter and son-in-law, Krystle and Joseph Wilson of Rio Rancho, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence Romero and Jewel Schmaltz of Rio Rancho, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Valerie Romero of Leadville, CO; grandchildren, Delilah Villarreal, Elliott Christian, Jaelynn Vialpando, Lilly Caldwell, Jacoby Caldwell, Caden Lowry, Kirstyn Wilson, Odin Wilson, Masyn Wilson; and her pet dogs, Rebel and Tank.
Thank you to everyone for loving Bernadette and being a part of her life. A big thank you to the hospital staff at Presbyterian that cared for her.
