Bernadette Gloria Marquez

Bernadette Gloria Marquez, age 58, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born in Grants, NM on February 18, 1962, to Encarnacion and Dora Marquez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Encarnacion Marquez; mother, Dora Marquez; brothers', Encarnacion Marquez, Jr., Clifford Marquez, Leroy Marquez, and Alex Marquez.

Bernadette is survived by daughters', Chasity Marquez of Albuquerque, and Sabrina Chavez of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons', Isaiah Marquez, Xavier Marquez, Jeremiah Martinez, Jonathan Martinez, Phillip Herrera, Andrew Chavez, Damian Herrera, and Nathan Herrera; granddaughters', Amari Martinez, Heaven Herrera, and Nevaeh Herrera.

Bernadette loved to shop and was a very skilled interior decorator. Her much adored family, and precious dog Bella were her greatest pride and joy. She was loved and respected by not only her family and friends, but also her Sam’s Club family, with who she worked for 17 years.

Our Mom gave us the world, put it right at our feet and with her at our side, there is nothing we can’t beat. Our mom was a woman who taught us to never lose sight, though times may seem helpless she taught us how to fight. She has shown us how, through tough times of much sorrow, to look to the future, and new days of tomorrow.  Even though times maybe hard and all we feel is pain; Remember this too shall pass, even the clouds and the rain. So it is with heavy hearts, and tears in our eyes, that we lay her down to rest, and say our last goodbyes.

Funeral service will be held at St. Teresa of Avila, on Friday October 9, 2020, at 9:00am. Burial to follow at Grants Memorial Cemetery.

Bernadette will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
