Bernice M Lucero

Age 87, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013. She was born in Las Vegas, NM on May 6, 1926, to Patricio and Elena Montoya. Bernice was a nursery care provider for 20 years at Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was a member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Patricio Montoya; mother, Elena Maestas-Montoya; husband, Tobias C. Lucero, Jr.; and brothers, Ernest Montoya, Louis Montoya, and John Montoya. Bernice is survived by brothers, Gilbert Montoya and Arthur Montoya; daughters, Terri (Robert) Keeney and Louise (Gene) Jackson and son, Ronald Lucero; granddaughter, Michelle Keeney; grandsons, Robert Keeney, Shawn Jackson, Gregory (Karen) Jackson, and Steven (Crystal) Ziff; great-granddaughter, Autumn Keeney; great-grandsons, Tobin Keeney, Noah Jackson, and Issac Ziff. Funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, the 24th, 9 am, at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School. Bernice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
