Bernice Michel

Michel, Bernice Mathilda Age 86, left her earthly life on July 30, 2013. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, of over 50 years David E. Michel, Sr.; brothers, Kenneth and Marvin Domres. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Houska, her 4 children, Ronald J. Michel, wife Tammy, Patrick L. Michel, wife Barbara, Sharon K. Parker, husband Richard, David E. Michel, Jr. as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Bernice was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI where she met and married David E. Michel, Sr. The first 30 years of their marriage were spent as an Air Force family living in Texas, California, Oklahoma and Michigan before retiring in Rio Rancho, NM. Once her husband had retired, Bernice went back to school at age 48 becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, a profession she worked at for over a decade before retiring herself. Bernice, a lung cancer survivor, was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her love and companionship will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Daniel�s Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
