Bernice Ann Ozuna-Mendoza

Bernice Ann Ozuna-Mendoza, age 42, passed away Wednesday, January 01, 2025, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born April 06, 1982, to her parents Mary Agnes Ozuna and Antonio Ozuna in Denver, CO.

She was married to the love of her life, Ronnie Leathem. 

Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Jasmine Mendoza; her father, Antonio Ozuna; her mother and father-in-law, Cindy Ayers and Gonzalo Mendoza; her brother, Jesse Trevino; her sister, Bernadette Padilla; her nephew, Mario Trevino; and her Nino, Lorenzo Castillo.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Leathem; her children, Vieonka Mendoza, Isiah Mendoza, and Angelica Mendoza; her mom, Mary Agnes Ozuna; her step-father, Miguel Marungo; her step-mother, Cindy Trevino; her grandchildren, Jayden Mendoza, Nevaeh Gallegos, Oliver Mendoza, and Johnathan Ochoa; her siblings, Maria Ozuna, Elizabeth Gallegos, Leticia Castillo, Bernadette Ozuna, Sofia Ozuna, Sonja Trevino, Darla Roubique, Maricruz Ozuna, Antonio Ozuna, Tony Ozuna, Abraham Ozuna, Samuel Ozuna, Manuel Padilla; her 17 nieces; her 17 nephews; her 8 great-nieces; her 4 great nephews; her two pets, Teddy and Ebony; and many other family members and friends. 

She obtained her GED from Belen High School in the year 2000. She was employed as a caregiver for 5 years but was best at being a loving mother and wife.

Bernice enjoyed dancing, singing, car races, the casino, working out, drawing, and writing in her free time. 

She will be missed immensely by all who knew her!
