Bertha Gallegos

Gallegos, Bertha 90, a resident of Albuquerque, NM has gone to join her Lord and Savior. She passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:35 PM. She was born in San Antonito, NM on July 16, 1923 to Serapio and Fidelia (Rivera) Moreno. Bertha grew up around Socorro, NM and graduated from Socorro High School in the early 1940's. She enjoyed politics, softball and Bingo. Her family was her greatest joy in her life and if she could make you laugh, you made her day. She may be gone but not forgotten by all of those who knew and loved her. We love you Nana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Gallegos; her son, Andy Rey Gallegos; son-in-law, Harry Raymond; and several brothers and sisters. Bertha is survived by her daughter, Anita Raymond; her grandchildren, Steven Raymond and his wife, Gina; Gerald Raymond and his wife, Shana; Melanie Rodriguez and her husband, J.O.; her great grandchildren, Teresa Kim and her husband, Marcus; Chase Hyon; Haley Raymond; Brandon Raymond; Mariah Rodriguez; Hannah Raymond; Justin Rodriguez; Steven Raymond II; her great great granddaughter, Elle Kim; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro followed by the Mass of Resurrection being celebrated at 10:30 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steven Raymond, Gerald Raymond, Melanie Rodriguez, Justin Rodriguez, Steven Raymond II, and J.O. Rodriguez.
