Bessie Chavez

CHAVEZ, BESSIE Age 80, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to her heavenly home, Friday, June 15, 2012. She was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. Bessie loved her family and enjoy going out to eat and going to the New Mexico State Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Chavez; her parents, Leo and Ricarda Maez; sisters, Prescilla Dion, Elsie Garcia; and grandson, Kenneth Chavez Jr. Bessie is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Candelaria, Randy Chavez, Kenneth Chavez and wife Marian, Susan Lopez, Adam Chavez and wife Maria; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Leah Scully, brother-in-laws, Pat Chavez and wife Susan, David Lee Chavez and wife Viola; sister-in-laws, Bernadette Chavez, and Prescilla Torres. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW, Albuquerque . Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Isaac Candelaria, Raymond Lopez, Adam Chavez Jr., Patrick Scully, Gerald Garcia and Pat Chavez. Honorary Bearers will be Jessica Chavez, Ashley Chavez, Amber Lopez, Tamara Herrera, Deborah Lucas and Frances Montoya. Bessie''s care has been entrusted to:
