Beth (Goodwin) Branscom

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beth Branscom, born Goodwin, who left us peacefully on December 30, 2024, at the age of 79 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Born on April 24, 1945, in the small town of Clarksville, Texas, she was the daughter of Lee Carl Goodwin and Edith Fay Goodwin, both of whom have predeceased her.

Beth lived a vibrant life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to her family and community. She graduated from Annona High School in 1963, paving the way for a diverse career that included serving as a Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles County, working with Hon Industries in Muscatine, Iowa, and managing her beloved establishment, Sally Beth’s Café. She also drove trucks for Schneider National, showcasing her adventurous spirit and commitment to providing for her family.

In her private life, Beth was a cherished mother to her children: Kelly Branscom, Barbara Pardie, and Jacob Branscom. She bore the loss of many siblings, preceded in death by five brothers and seven sisters. Yet, her strength and resilience shone brightly as she remained close to her sister Laura (Teenie) Martin. Beth’s legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Aaron, and Caden Branscom, as well as her six great-great-grandchildren, who all carry a piece of her spirit.

Throughout her life, Beth found joy in the simple pleasures of sewing and baking, often expressing her love through the delicious meals and handmade crafts she shared with family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Beth's remarkable life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Daniels Family Funerals & Cremation - Sara Rd Chapel. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a reception at 5308 High Canyon Trail in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

As we remember Beth, let us carry forth her love and warmth. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts of those she touched during her long and fulfilling journey.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday January 20, at 10:00am in the chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. Rio Rancho, NM, 87124. The Memorial Service will be live-streamed.
