Beth Ellyn Schatzman

October 7, 1963 — August 29, 2019

Beth Schatzman, age 55, passed away too early in her life, with family by her side at Lovelace Downtown Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 29th, 2019. Beth was born on October 7th, 1963 to Carolyn and James Schatzman in Madison, (Nashville), Tennessee.  She is survived by her parents, husband Marshall Hundemer, and loving sons Riley and Dalton Hudson, sisters Lisa Rygiel and Shelly Sowell and nieces, nephews and other family members as well as many grieving friends and coworkers.

She was a graduate of Harding Academy of Memphis, Tennessee and had furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baylor University.  She received her master’s degree from Texas Wesleyan in Health Science along with certificate in anesthesia.   She practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).  Beth then received a doctorate, also from Texas Wesleyan and had just recently successfully started her own CRNA practice in Albuquerque.

Beth had an outgoing, caring personality, and always had a smile on her face that could light up a room.   She was a deeply loving wife to her husband Marshall and her sons Riley and Dalton.  She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, and sister.  She was a member of Sagebrush Church and regularly put her faith into practice as she cared for many people including participating in medical missions out of the country.

Beth had a dedicated and joyful spirit. She enjoyed many active hobbies including hiking, camping, scuba diving, attending baseball games (major and minor league), and participated in triathlons.  She also enjoyed reading, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
