Betsy Jane Cunningham

Betty Jane Cunningham, age 85, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was born October 8, 1935 to Ray Sell and Esther Reed Sell in Stockton, Kansas.  She was a graduate of Stockton High School, Class of 1953.  She married Harold Cunningham on October 11, 1953, in Stockton, Kansas.  She was employed by Old American Insurance (20 years) and was a bookkeeper for Bohten Auction (10 years).  Betty enjoyed baking pies, canning, knitting and most importantly, spending time with her family and church friends.  She was a judge at multiple County Fairs for crafts and sewing.  She was a sewing and crafts supervisor at Rooks County Fair for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, First Baptist Church, Rio Rancho, NM, and a quilting group.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold Cunningham; parents, Ray and Esther Sell; brothers, Kenneth Sell, John Sell, and Keith Sell.

She is survived by her son, Leslie Cunningham of Stockton, KS; daughter, Nancy Scollon of Rio Rancho; brothers, Ed Sell of Oregon, Wayne Sell of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Latisha Cunningham-Leach, Kalina Scollon, Lance Cunningham, Keyleigh Cunningham, Patreice Williams, Harmony Brent, and Christian Brent; and her loving pet dog, Erin.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, 10:30 AM, Stockton Rural Cemetery, 300 N. Water, Stockton, KS.

Reception will be held at Main Street Christian Church, 602 Main St., Stockton, KS
