Bettie Joyce Morganti

Bettie Joyce Morganti, 77, passed away on July 10, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on October 2, 1934, in Amarillo, Texas and spent her childhood there and in the surrounding area. She married her husband of 58 years, Arthur, and traveled extensively as an Air Force wife. Bettie started working at Singer Business Machines in 1971, and subsequently retired after a successful career from Digital Equipment Corporation in 1992. In retirement, Bettie enjoyed traveling with friends and family, hosting family gatherings , and spending time with her husband. She led a generous, unselfish life, and touched the hearts of many with her openness and devotion to others. She will be missed dearly. Bettie is survived by her husband Arthur Sr., her daughter, Neena Morganti-Ferreira and husband Patricio of Orlando, FL, her sons Arthur Morganti Jr. and wife Chris, Anthony Morganti and wife Tracy, and Daniel Morganti, all of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Andrew Morganti and wife Dianna, Derek Morganti and wife Lauren, James Morganti, Jonathan Morganti, Austin Morganti, and Aubrey Ferreira, Stephanie Herrera, Jennifer Herrera; great grandchildren, Kaley, Zhaiy, Drake; sister, Sherrie Plemons of Amarillo, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012.
