Betty Baldonado

Betty Baldonado was born in Apollo, PA on August 13, 1923.  On March 12, 2018 she shed her earthly body and entered everlasting life.   After high school, she left Apollo to attend Nursing School. During WWII, as General Duty nurse in the United States Army she was stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX where she met her soul mate, Jose M. Baldonado, upon his return from the POW Camps in Japan.  She was married to Jose for 49 years, raised 8 children, and had a very rewarding career in Nursing.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Jose.  Daughter Mary Ann Baca, Grandson Paul Wheat and Great Granddaughter RayLynn Gonzales.  She is survived by her children David Baldonado (Karen), Elizabeth Wheat (Don), Jim Baldonado (Marie), Bob Baldonado (Kathy), Nancy San Martin (Robert), Susie Saiz (Frank), Son-in-law Ken Baca, Elaine Vargas (Sam).  23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.  It would take a genealogist to count the nieces, nephews, in-laws and out-laws who were all such an important part of her life.  Be comforted knowing Betty would like to be in your thoughts during your most enjoyable moments, may it be fishing, laughing, loving, traveling ….  you get the picture.
