Mary (Aunt Betty) Byram transitioned to a more peaceful existence on 13 Feb 2018 at the age of 93. She was born in Remus, MI and attended the University of Michigan receiving a Masters in Social Work in 1948. She enjoyed helping others and loved her choice of career. Her concern for others and generosity continued after her retirement in 1986 from the BIA, by making and donating children’s blankets to the LINUS foundation and knitting hats and scarves for those in need, in winter, for many, many years. She is survived by her spouse of 57 years Robert, sisters Eileen, and Rita and brother Bob. Although she did not have children of her own, she is survived by many nieces and nephews whose lives were enriched by her motherly love, many knitted sweaters, hot pads and quilts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that one does something in your local community to enrich the lives of others, as Dear Aunt Betty did during her lifetime. The family would like to thank the staff from Presbyterian Hospital, PMG and Home Care Assistance for all the appreciated, professional care they provided. Special thanks and consideration to Dr. Elaine Papafrangos for her superior care provided over the last 26 years. As a member of San Ysidro Parish, 5150 Corrales Rd, Corrales, NM, 87048, the family invites you to sign onto www.danielsfuneral.com for information about services
