Betty Louise Faraone

FARAONE - Betty Louise Faraone, 79, passed away on January 28, 2010. She was born on April 19, 1930, in Wayne City, IL, to Ethel Hunt Gurley. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard C. Faraone; her children, Victor Brown (Linn), Dewan Montigny (Ron), Donna Brooks (Dirk), Debra Heath (Allen); grandchildren, Lela, Randy, Laura, Robbie, Wolf, Audra, Geoffrey; great grandchildren; Kasenia, Meliza, Korbyn: and her brother Jim Gurley. Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Koury. She enjoyed a variety of careers including: waitressing, selling Beauty Creators cosmetics, running the office for several businesses that she co-owned with her husband, Faraone's Masonry, Faranatta Precast, and Blue Mesa Restaurant. Free time was filled with family and friends. From the time her children were young, she shared the beauty of nature through camping, bicycling, gardening, and stargazing. All through out elementary school days, Betty was room mother and Girl Scout Leader for her daughters. She shared her talents as a homemaker teaching her children to cook, sew, and care for a variety of pets. Betty enjoyed exploring new things and traveled the world. The lush green of Ireland and Hawaii were among her favorite places. Travel was one way she kept in touch with family and friends. Other pleasures included dancing, playing pinochle, and entertaining in her home. The family would like to thank The Cottages of Albuquerque and Amber Care Hospice for their loving care.
