Betty Jane Gatewood

Betty Gatewood, age 71, passed away September 13, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born November 26, 1952, to her parents Agnes Gatewood and Kenneth Wauneka in Fort Defiance, AZ. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Tommy Gatewood; her sisters, Helen Bluehorse, Marie Paquin, and Annie Roanhorse. 

She is survived by her children, Cheryle Gatewood, Durwin Tommy Gatewood, and Dewayne Gatewood of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Edward Gatewood; her sister, Louise Cooka; her grandchildren, Nicole A. Russell, Erick D. Russell, Kaitlyn J. Gatewood, Mikalya T. Gatewood, and Kyle B. Gatewood; her great grandchildren, Matthew D. Gatewood, Nicolai M. Gatewood, and Livianna E. Gatewood; and by many other family and friends. 

Betty was a student at Window Rock Highschool district in Fort Defiance, AZ. She worked at Packard Hughes Interconnect for 22 years. 

She was committed to her Good Shepherd Mission Church in Fort Defiance, AZ and loved her bible study group.
