Betty Ann Hahn McAdams

Betty Ann Hahn McAdams, age 91, passed away on November 12, 2022. Betty was born in Menard, TX on March 31, 1931. Betty graduated from Sul Ross State College in Alpine, TX in May 1952 with her first teaching job in Marathon, TX. Betty loved teaching and touched the lives of hundreds of children, some of multiple generations in 30-year career, 24 of which were in Magdalena. She taught multiple grades, physical education, and coached volleyball and cheerleaders.

Betty was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty married Albert (Bud) McAdams Jr. on December 19, 1952 in Alpine, TX. They moved to New Mexico in 1956 and lived in Buckhorn, Tyrone, Silver City, Glenwood, Deming, Magdalena, and Belen. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bud and son Albert (Buster) George McAdams, III and survived by three daughters—Mary Huttanus (married to Steve Huttanus), Cynthia White, and Doris Jump (married to Rick Jump); eight grandchildren and 13-great grandchildren. Their grandchildren are Erin White-Canales, Carl Neie, Kyna Seale, Kimberly Cridge, Colter Neie, Matthew White, Joseph (Buddy) Huttanus, and Justin McAdams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at the Magdalena Community Cemetery at 1:00 pm November 19, 2022. Arrangements are being handled by Daniels Family Funeral Home, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM, with a viewing scheduled at 10:00 am prior to departure for Magdalena.
