Betty M. Sandoval

SANDOVAL-Betty M. Sandoval, 88, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday January 22, 2011. Betty was born May 1, 1922 in Del Norte, CO. Betty was a devoted Catholic and donated most of her time helping others in several different organizations. Betty was a very strong, independent, and a dedicated mother who even in her final months never complained or burdened anyone. Betty chose her time to be with the Lord, peacefully and surrounded by her loving family. Betty completed her Child Development Degree later in life after raising her family. Betty loved her family very dearly. Betty is survived by her loving children, Claude, Ruth Nunez and husband Henry, Dolores Algire and husband John, Loretta Moreno and husband Robert, and Janis Carbajal; daughters-in-law, Cathy Sandoval, Crystal Sandoval and Linda Martinez; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Carmen Gallegos and husband Joe and Lillian Gonzales and husband Fred; and many other family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her loving sons Tim and Daniel; parents Jose and Rufina Gallegos; brothers Pat Gallegos, Jake Gallegos, Telesfor Gallegos; sister Dora Martinez; and son-in-law Daniel Carbajal. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels of Garcia Mortuary, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; with a reciting of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.; San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE; with Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
