Beulah Elizabeth Thompson Jordan Jan. 16, 1926 - July 5, 2009 Beulah Elizabeth Thompson Jordan, 83, of Farmington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Life Care Center of Farmington. She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Combes, Texas, the eldest of two daughters born to David and Lera Thompson. She grew up in Combes and graduated from high school in Harlingen, Texas, in 1943. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morgan Jordan, in 2008; her father, David Harold Thompson, in 1961; her mother, Lera Cameron Thompson, in 1991; her sister, Dorothy Carr, in 1999; and her nephew, Dave Jordan. Beulah is survived by two sons, Don Jordan of Panama, and Phil Jordan (Cherie) of Farmington; two grandsons, Jeremiah Jordan of Farmington and Justin Jordan (Stephanie) of Mesa, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Frances Kilbourn Jordan of Combes; four nephews, Mark Jordan Schindler of Austin, Texas, Michael Carr of Pasadena, Texas, Troy Jordan of Combes, and David Carr (Robin) of Pasadena; niece, Peggy Jordan of Houston, Texas; uncle, Walter "Buddy" Cameron (Jean) of California; two cousins, Clarence David Young and Hazel Baurnfind, both of Texas; and many other family members and friends. Beulah was first and foremost a homemaker, but also worked for Dimmick Realty as a secretary and for many years was secretary for Dr. Joyce Price, M.D., of Farmington. Beulah was a longtime member of Crestview Baptist Church of Farmington. She taught Sunday school, liked to can fruits and vegetables, loved all kinds of crafts and was thrilled by the wonderful southwest landscapes that surrounded her. She will be remembered for being a woman who loved her family, her grandchildren and who loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pallbearers will be Mark Bradshaw, Jeremiah Jordan, Justin Jordan, Rodney Parker, Mike Young and Terry Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ullo, Dave Hale and Bill Duncan. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Robert Burns for his loving and diligent care of Beulah. Also, special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Atwood Apartments, Good Samaritan Village and Cedar Ridge Inn, who were caregivers to Beulah.
