Cox, Billie H.
Age 80, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at her home near Magdalena, NM. She was born in Douglas, AZ on March 22, 1936, to William H. and Edna (Glass) Hunsaker. Billie grew up in Arizona and married B.W. Cox Jr. in 1955. They moved to New Mexico and ran the Red Lake Ranch for 25 years. In 1989, Billie and B.W. bought the Montosa Ranch near Magdalena, NM. They built the Chapel of Living Waters near the Montosa Campgrounds on the ranch which she dearly loved. Billie was a rancher all of her life and was a member of the New Mexico CowBelles. Billie was a wonderful lady, loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Oddonetto; and sons, Raymond L. Cox and Roland H. Cox. Billie is survived by her husband of 61 years, B. W. Cox, Jr.; her brother, Nick Hunsaker; sister, Carol Elmer; daughter-in-law, Paula Towner-Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Living Waters, Montosa Campgrounds. A gathering with lunch will be held after the service at the Montosa Campgrounds. Honorary Pallbearers are Guillermo and Anna Marie Lopez. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
