Billie Jo Stephens

Billie Jo Stephens, age 53,passed away January 1. 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She was born January 2, 1967 in Ft. Knox, KY, to a German mother and an American soldier, William J. Ellis and Josepha Ernst.  Billie was raised in a military life, which ultimately lead her to a long time residence, her home, and her final destination here in Rio Rancho, NM. The Land of Enchantment is where she finished raising her children with her (then) husband, James Stephens, where she watched her children have children and where she embraced her blessings.  She loved them each so deeply and through her continuous generosity towards others she had taught them that "It is okay to be nice to everyone; Just smile, and be you!" Though finally reuniting with her middle child, Samantha Kay, who was only 9 years old the day she was given wings, Billie will be leaving behind her: Fiance, Bruce Arco ; her three children: Matthew Burgess, Amber Harrison (and husband Richard Harrison) and stepson Kelly Stephens ; her many grandchildren: Elianna, Milo, Brielle, Nicolas, Everlee, and Oliver; and so many other wonderful people who started as just friends and later became her family.
