Billy John Chambers Sr.

Billy John Chambers Sr. of Aztec, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010. He was born in Caddo, Texas on September 20, 1927 to John W. Chambers and Bessie Atkisson. Billy worked as a carpenter/woodworker throughout his life. He was also very active with his church St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing as his favorite pastimes. Billy served in the U.S. Army from 1945-1947 during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Julia Pauwels Chambers, his mother Bessie Atkisson, father John W. Chambers; and sister Alice Dickie. Billy is survived by his son Billy John Chambers, Jr. and his wife Brenda. Billy's care has been entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel 404 W.
